Payton Lin

President and Founder

Hi everyone! Welcome to our website. I am Payton Lin, the founder and president of Cutie Express. I started this club, because of my passion for creating things. I love to sew, crochet, and draw. Building on this passion, I wanted to share my experiences with others and improve our community. Sewing is a very important and beneficial skill to have. It allows you to save money, build creativity, relieve stress, and find joy in creating things. By teaching others how to sew, anyone can learn all of these valuable skills and help their own communities. We also donate the items we make to people in need. Everyone in our club can learn new things, share their creations, and help other people!

Connor Lin

Vice President

Greetings, my name is Connor Lin. I am a sophomore at Beckman High School. As a child, I was always interested in arts and crafts and enjoyed assisting others. I used to make origami crafts for my friends when I was in elementary school, and I loved seeing how happy they were. My goal for this club is to be able to assist the underprivileged, because a small gesture can go a long way. Furthermore, I want to be able to create positive communities all over the world that can bring people happiness. Our organization strives to provide numerous opportunities for people to come together and make the world a better place. Though some may believe that plushies cannot have a significant impact, I believe they can for a variety of reasons. What appears to be a piece of cloth and cotton to some may be a special memory for others. As a club, we want to be able to provide those unique experiences that people will remember for the rest of their lives. As a leader, I hope to rally a large group of people to help make this dream a reality.

Marsha Tran

Secretary

I’m Marsha Tran, a senior at Beckman and the secretary of Cutie Express. I’ve started crocheting a little in middle school, but actually committed to it during quarantine. It helped me express myself and cope with staying home all day. This exposed me to the world of crafting, and I started getting into jewelry making and keychains as well. This club is important to me because I find creating very therapeutic and meaningful, and I’d love to share my passion with peers around me who are also interested.

Asila Sabouri

Treasurer

Hello everyone! This is Asila Sabouri, a junior and the treasurer of Cutie Express. It is very exciting to be part of this club. I enjoy knitting and helping others.

Camila Ruiz

Social Media Manager

Hello! My name is Camila Ruiz, and I am a junior at Beckman High School. I am very eager to be the social media manager of this club. I enjoy singing, bullet journaling, and collecting stationary. Another activity I enjoy is spending time with the people I love most. I find this club essential because we give a form of glee to kids who need it most. Plushies have been a vital part of my childhood. My fluffy companions have been the reason my youth has been so joyful. I want to bring that part of my childhood to kids who have had unfortunate things happen to them. It gives me great joy to see kids smiling and laughing. It brings me even more delight that they will have a friend who will always be there for them. The club is significant because we give hope and a smile to kids that may have already relinquished both.
